CASA CM

Located in the heart of Cap Martinet, in Santa Eulalia del Río, CASA CM stands as a clear and compelling response to the site’s topography. Rather than following the slope in a stepped manner, the house cuts across the landscape, partially embedded in the hillside while simultaneously emerging above it, establishing a subtle yet powerful dialogue between geometry and nature.

The house is organized across four levels that unfold in an organic manner:

Basement: The deepest level, which blends into the terrain, houses the garage, the technical room, storage areas and tanks, freeing the upper floors for the living spaces.

Ground floor: This level contains the sleeping area. Three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a master suite with a spacious walk-in closet offer spaces of privacy. The living room, which opens onto a private courtyard, is complemented by a laundry room and an outdoor bathroom that serves the pool area.

First floor: Here lies the main social space: an open-plan living-dining-kitchen area, where natural light flows through large windows, offering uninterrupted views of the sea. It also includes a pantry, a bathroom and direct access to a landscaped rear courtyard, creating a seamless continuity between interior and exterior.

Upper floor: A solarium and a barbecue dining area complete this level, providing a space for leisure and enjoyment, with panoramic views that allow residents to appreciate the landscape and the Mediterranean climate.

The materials chosen for the project highlight the relationship between the built structure and the natural context: natural stone walls are combined with white volumes to create an architecture that breathes modernity while also paying homage to the roots of the place.
Access is resolved in a differentiated way: the pedestrian access gently ascends through the garden to the main floor, while the vehicular access descends slightly to the basement, addressing functional needs without altering the overall design of the house.
CASA CM is a statement of intent regarding the way of inhabiting a place: an architecture that, rather than imitating the slope, interprets it and transforms it into part of its own structure, establishing a unique connection with the landscape, the light, and the topography.
